The Office of Sustainability at UNC Asheville provides strategic leadership and support for programs and activities designed to enhance sustainability literacy and engagement, and improve the health of our natural environment. We collaborate with students, faculty and staff as well as Asheville area organizations to provide diverse learning and action opportunities and model sustainable campus practices. UNC Asheville established the Office of Sustainability in 2013, creating a central resource for students, faculty and staff. The office aims to:
- Recognize … sustainability projects and ongoing efforts
- Engage … the community in the campus sustainability movement
- Celebrate … our sustainability champions and successes
- Support … new and emerging sustainability initiatives
